Our branch is very fortunate to have so many dedicated volunteers who give so much of their time to keep our branch running, enabling us to take care of so many cats and kittens, giving them the health care, food and warmth that they require. This year we have had a record number of unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens, we are doing all we can to find them loving homes but while they are initially in our care, they do cost us a considerable amount of money. Vet checks, neutering, vaccinations, micro-chipping and then the cost of food and heating, this all adds up.
As a charity, we rely solely on the generosity and kindness of public donations to enable us to go on caring for cats and kittens. We do have a small team of Fund Raisers who are continually trying to raise funds to keep our branch afloat but as you can probably imagine, this is a hard task, it has been a difficult year for many people and very few of us have money to give away but we are very grateful for the smallest donations. All the money donated does go towards the care and upkeep of the cats and kittens.
We never put a healthy cat to sleep so if a cat or kittens in our care needs an operation, we will always pay however costly.
