Cat adoption in Wellingborough & Rushden

When getting in touch particularly by e-mail please make sure that you give your name, full address including postcode, a contact telephone number and if possible an e-mail address as we must have these details to start the adoption process.

Home Visit:

Before you can adopt, you will need to have a short informal home visit by one of our volunteers. This is just to ensure that the cat(s) or kitten(s) we rehome to you will be suited to your home, family and lifestyle. If you live in rented accommodation, you must obtain written consent from your landlord to keep pets at the property.

We’re passionate about finding loving, lasting homes for the cats in our care. During the process of adopting a cat from Wellingborough & Rushden branch, we’ll consider everything from your potential pet’s personality and how this fits with your lifestyle, to your home environment – creating the perfect match for both cat and owner and the start of a wonderful feline friendship.

If you are interested in any of the cats available for adoption from Wellingborough & Rushden branch, please enquire via enquiries@wellingborough.cats.org.uk or call us on: 0345 371 4209.

You can find out more about rehoming and why to adopt from Cats Protection here
.

We regret we are unable to reserve cats/kittens in our care for more than a few days, if you have any holidays/weekends away booked in the next 3-4 weeks please contact us after these have taken place.

Adoption Fees:
Our adoption fee includes neutering, 1st and 2nd vaccinations, microchip and a health check by our vet prior to adoption.
Our adoption fees are £75 for each cat
 £95 for each kitten

=^^=
As the work we do costs more than we receive from the adoption fees, any additional donations would be greatly appreciated and used towards helping more cats.

Cats Protection support rehoming any found cat after 2 weeks if we cannot find the owner and the cat is not microchipped and after 4 weeks for any cat that is microchipped. It is felt that this is in the best interest of the cat, a new home is far better than life in a pen or on the streets.

So please MICROCHIP and keep details upto date if you want your cat back.
