Welcome to Cats Protection Yeovil & District Branch
We’re here to support cats and kittens in Yeovil, covering postcodes: BA20, BA21, BA22 , TA10, TA11, TA12, TA13, TA14, TA15, TA16, TA17, TA18, TA19, TA20.
Our Mission: Focus on TNR
Our branch specializes in Trap, Neuter, and Return (TNR). This is a vital service where we manage local feral and community cat colonies to ensure they are healthy and to prevent the population from growing out of control.
Please Note: Because our resources are dedicated to TNR, we are not a rehoming centre and do not have a traditional shelter for domestic surrenders.

How We Can Help You
While our primary focus is on feral populations, we are still here to support local cat owners and the community in several ways:
-
Subsidised neutering Vouchers: We believe neutering is the kindest way to keep your cat healthy. We may be able to offer financial assistance or vouchers to help cover part of the cost of neutering your pet.
Check with your local vet firstMany veterinary practices in your area have direct partnerships with other animal charities to provide subsidised or low-cost neutering. In many cases, these local arrangements can cover a significant portion—or even the entirety—of the costs. Why we recommend this:· Convenience: The help is often applied directly at the clinic.· Resource Management: By utilizing these specific local funds first, it allows Cats Protection to stretch our national resources further to help those who have no other options.Next Steps1. Contact your vet: Ask if they have any current schemes or vouchers available through other charities.2. If help is available: We recommend following their process, as we are unable to provide "top-up" funding if another charity is already assisting with the same procedure. -
Lost & Found: If you’ve lost your furry friend or found a stray, we can help spread the word through our network and provide advice on the best steps to take to reunite them with their families.
