During lockdown, we introduced Hands-Free Homing, which was successful in finding many of our cats and kittens brilliant new owners. We’re continuing to rehome our cats virtually for customers who request this however, we have now resumed visits in the Adoption Centre by appointment, so you have the opportunity to meet your moggy match.
We’ll advertise cats on our website with a photo of each cat. Adopt with Confidence, our usual policy of openness and honesty, still stands. We’ll ensure you’re aware of any medical or behavioural concerns, and we will carefully assess each and every match before deciding whether the home is suitable.

We have a range of cats in our care with differing needs. Our staff will be happy to tell you all about the cats, so that the one you choose will be right for you and your home. If none of the cats advertised are what you're looking for, keep checking our website, as new cats are added regularly.
If we think you’re a potential match, we’ll phone you to discuss the cat. We’ll then arrange a Meet n' Greet appointment for you to come to the Adoption Centre to meet the cat in person (please note that your appointment will be to meet the specific cat you have applied for). Alternatively, we can arrange a video call appointment if you prefer our Hands-Free Homing method. We use Microsoft Teams as our video call platform. At your appointment you’ll be provided with full information about the cat, and we will ask you questions about your lifestyle to ensure an appropriate match. Please note that due to the volume of applications we receive for each cat, your Meet n' Greet appointment needs to take place within 48 hours of us contacting you.
At the end of the appointment, if it is a suitable match and you would like to proceed, we will reserve the cat for you. Your cat will be reserved to you for a maximum of 7 days. At this stage we will ask for proof of I.D and your address, and landlord consent (if applicable). There will be opportunity within your appointment for you to browse our shop and purchase supplies for your new furry family member if you wish. We will also discuss how to settle your cat into their new home.
Once the reservation has been placed, we’ll organise the cat’s adoption paperwork and arrange a collection appointment with you. At your collection appointment we will talk you through the paperwork, terms and conditions and witness you signing the adoption.
The paperwork consists of a Medical Summary, Adoption Form and PetPlan Terms for your free one month of insurance cover. You will also need to pay the £75.00 adoption fee at this time. There will be options to purchase further supplies, join our membership scheme and make a donation if you wish. You can then take your new feline friend home with you.
If you prefer to complete the adoption process virtually, we can email you the cat's adoption paperwork and arrange a second video call appointment to go through it all. We will take your card details via video chat so you can witness us processing the payment. You then need to send the signed paperwork back to us via email. You can either scan a copy or take a photo of it. We will be able to finalise the adoption once this paperwork is received and the adoption fee has been paid. Once the paperwork is complete, we’ll arrange a time and date for you to collect your new cat, along with any goods you have purchased. We can facilitate a socially-distanced, safe collection process.
Please note, your cat must come home to you within 7 days of reservation.
We will arrange times to catch up with you to see how your cat is getting on in their new home and provide any advice you may need. This starts from the day your cat comes home and we will check in with you at 3, 7 and 21 days from their arrival.
At the end of the 21 days we will no longer contact you for updates, but our help doesn’t end there. We’re only ever a phone call away, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch for any advice you might need!
