Welcome to Ipswich Cats Protection - a branch run entirely by volunteers.
Areas covered: Ipswich branch covers the post code areas IP1 to IP11.
Fundraising: We fundraise regularly, both to raise much needed funds for the cats and to raise the profile of the branch. We run charity nights, car boot sales and we attend some events, but we could do so much more with more volunteers!
Co-op Community Token Scheme: Recently we were one of the chosen charities to benefit from the token sheme and thanks to your support we are due to receive £500. Thank you everyone for choosing to help us, we are very grateful, and a huge thank you to the Co-op too!
You can still help by donating your dividend points by presenting your card and quoting our share number which is 234701.
We have our own charity shop which is just celebrating it's first year of opening. It can be found at 20 Queen Street Ipswich IP1 1SS. The stock is constantly being renewed so there is always something different to discover.
Open Monday to Saturday 9.00am to 5.00pm, Sunday 10am to 4pm
Do please come and visit us.
All our members receive newsletter updates on the cats, to which they are welcome to contribute articles/photos etc. Annual membership is only £10.00 per year. Details: firstname.lastname@example.org
The Cats: We do request a set fee of £60 for every cat or kitten. Cats Protection asks adopters for this fee when rehoming a cat. If you feel able to make a donation on top of this fee that would, of course, be gratefully received. We know times are hard, and thank you for your decision to rehome a CP cat. For this fee, you will get a pet that is: microchipped, vaccinated, spayed or neutered if needed and treated for fleas / worms.
Our cats are always checked over by a vet before homing, and come with one months free pet insurance. See the homing page for further details of all we do for our cats, and the attendant costs. ** Please note we will home to rented accomodation only on receipt of your landlords written permission **
