Welcome to Cats Protection Salisbury & District Branch

We’re here to support cats and kittens in Salisbury, covering postcodes: SP1, SP2, SP3, SP4, SP5, SP6, SP9.

Run by a small team of dedicated, cat-loving volunteers, we’re passionate about improving the lives of cats and kittens in Salisbury, working to find loving new homes for local cats in our care, offering support with neutering, and lost and found cats, as well as general education and awareness within the Salisbury area. The Salisbury Cats Protection Spring 2025 'Name the cat' raffle was won by Cruz from Horfield, Porton. The winning ticket was purchased at St Nicholas School Spring Fair.

Without volunteers, Cats Protection Salisbury & District Branch simply wouldn't exist. Our amazing, friendly volunteers are a diverse group with a shared love of cats who fit volunteering around their home lives and personal commitments.

Neutering assistance

Cats become sexually active at 4 months of age, therefore, in the best interest of the health of the cat, it is essential that they are neutered at the earliest opportunity.

Salisbury and District Cats Protection aim to provide some financial assistance towards the cost of neutering to those cat owners who are in the most need. However, please note that our neutering fund is very limited and in order to assist as many people as possible we can only offer a token amount towards the cost of neutering for those owners/households who can provide proof of, either, being in receipt of an eligible benefit, or, are on a low household income.

Calls to this number will be forwarded to our duty officer, who will assist and take messages. Urgent calls are addressed the same day, while non-urgent calls are handled within 3 days, but please note that our volunteers manage these from their homes in their own time.
