Please be aware that we are all volunteers and as such, this website may not be updated every day.  We try very hard to respond to people quickly, but work and family life sometimes gets in the way.

Please bare with us if a response is delayed and remember, if we had more volunteers, we'd be able to respond quicker!

All potential adopters must first fill in an adoption questionnaire before you will be considered for any of the cats we have for adoption. If you would like an adoption questionnaire sent to you via email then please contact us:  . The questionnaire will give you an opportunity to let us know what kind of cat you are looking for so please make sure you give us as much information as possible to help you find the right cat. If you enquire through the webpage or Social Media Channels, you will still need to fill in the questionnaire but the online enquiry does not ensure you will get to adopt that particular cat.
 If you don't have email, please call us on 0345 371 2755 stating the name of the cat/kitten you're interested in and let them know it's in the Swale branch.

All potential adopters will have a home visit, currently virtually please see below for further details about our hands free homing,  arranged at a mutually convenient time and if you are renting your home, we will require written permission from the landlord before any adoption can take place.

Please note that we do not have a main shelter all of our cats are placed in foster homes until we can find them a suitable new home, so we do not have a central venue for people to view our cats, please email us or use the contact form.

Hands free homing. 

A guide to our new hands-free homing process -

We’re keen to help as many cats as possible, both during the current crisis and beyond. Offering our cats a home will help to free up more space to take in emergency cases.

We have put in extensive procedures to make sure that our homing process is in line with current government guidance, without putting adoptees or our volunteers at risk.  

Here is our guide to adopting a cat using hands-free homing

• Check you are within a reasonable distance of your chosen branch. You can find your nearest branch by typing in your postcode at

• Enquire. If you’ve found a cat on our website that you’re interested in homing, please email  to request that an adoption enquiry form is sent to you. If you do not have email, please call 0345 371 2755 and advise that you are interesting in adopting a cat from the Swale Branch. 

• Reserve your cat. If you’re found to be a match for your chosen cat, you’ll be contacted via phone or email. You may be asked for proof of your address and the consent of your landlord (if you live in a rented property)

• Adopt. Once you have reserved your cat, you’ll be sent paperwork to sign and you’ll make a further telephone appointment with our team. In this call, you’ll have a chance to discuss everything you need to know about your cat. You’ll then pay an adoption fee of £75 usually by bank transfer

• Bringing your cat home. Once this is finalised, we’ll arrange for a driver to bring your cat safely to your home

• Be supported. You’ll receive a follow-up call or email around three, seven and 21 days after the adoption to check that your new arrival is settled in.
