Volunteer Vacancy: Education Speaker

28 March 2014
Volunteer Vacancy: Education Speaker We are looking for a Volunteer Education Speaker to give talks to local groups about cat ownership and the work of Cats Protection.  As an Education Speaker you will act as an ambassador for Cats Protection and play a key role in raising awareness of how the charity makes a big difference to the lives of thousands of cats and kittens in need each year. You will inspire others, develop learning and understanding of feline welfare and be the voice for cats in your community.

The position will be for any weekdays and evenings required and is a very flexible role; it is not unusual for volunteers to spend 1 -3 hours volunteering per week in this role. This role can be shared by more than one volunteer.

The role will involve:
Giving talks to schools and community groups
Holding information sessions for local groups
Working closely with your Community Education Officer and Education Co-ordinator
Completing activity evaluations and feedback forms
Being a positive representative for Cats Protection in your community

You will receive full training and support in your role, along with guidance direction and information.  We believe it would be ideal for retired teachers, student teachers, teaching assistants or those who simply enjoy public speaking!

If you are interested, please contact the centre on 01978 313574 or register your interest through our volunteering contact form http://www.cats.org.uk/wrexham/volunteering
