How to adopt a cat with us

Lily

Dorset Cat Centre

Meet Lily & Bear, a bonded pair looking for a home together. Both are friendly cats although Bear is the more confident of the two and is often found waiting at the pen door to greet people. He enjoys a fuss and especially a good head rub, sitting on laps, being groomed, and playing – either on his own or with you, but likes a little “me time” too, moving away when he feels he’s had enough attention for now. Although Lily loves to play and enjoys a fuss too, she can be a little more reserved at first, liking to take a moment to assess things, but don’t let that fool you as her confident side soon shines through. Bear and Lily have a lovely relationship, with Bear often washing Lily and they can often be found taking naptimes together on their shelf. Lily and Bear are young, active cats who thrive with plenty of space and enrichment – they can get a little overstimulated in their enthusiasm sometimes, with may result in a little mouthing so would suit either an adult-only home or one with older children, and with no other pets willing to gently guide them away from this behaviour.
