Milo

Milo (est 9 weeks old) came into our care after he was found crying in a hedge, during a terrible thunderstorm. The poor boy was terrified, starving and soaked to the skin! Milo was very ill following his rescue, and spent time in our vets battling a viral infection. He has thankfully now made a full recovery, and is the sweetest little boy who has had such a hard start to life! What a before and after!

Milo was very frightened initially (very understandable!), but he was certainly not a feral kitten. We believe he has likely been abandoned, as he recognised a home enviornment once he went to his foster carer. Since feeling a lot better and getting some love and TLC from his foster volunteer, Milo has blossomed into a very sweet and loving kitten. He has obviously been betrayed by humans in the past, so he takes a day or two to trust you - but once he does, he purrs up a mighty storm, makes excellent buscuits in your lap and headbutts you firmly with his head to show he loves you! It is almost as if, when he is getting used to a new person for the first time, he is asking permission - he will skirt around you, run in circles in excitement. Kneading his paws and arching up because he wants petted! but he is unsure if he is allowed to be forward, so stays a little out of reach initially. Once he finds he is allowed, he is a really loving kitten - he will even try to rub up around your head! He is very playful - he loves ball tracks and anything that drags along the ground. New toys can be a little scary initially but once he finds it's fun and safe, he loves it. His little un-coordinated zoomies are hilarious, and he is a very vocal boy when he wants petted or cuddled - but he doesn't seem to know how to meow! A little rasp is all that comes out as he stares at you intently, thinking 'Pleaseeee pet me!'. Once settled in and he knows his people, he will be the best family pet you could ask for. He's just looking for a loving family who can show him what it's like to be a beloved member of the family!

Milo was very intrigued by other cats while he was recovering in our vets, often meowing to them - we think he would be a gentle and social boy, so would be fine with other cats. We think he would enjoy an animal friend! He would be fine with children, but slightly older (or experienced with cats) would be preferable just for the initially settling in but this is flexible as once he knows you he's a confident enough little kitten. He is indoor only suitable or could have safe, low traffic outdoor access in the future once settled and neutered. Milo has no long-lasting effects from being poorly, he is in perfect health now and has fully recovered.
