The difference you will make to cats and people

As a charity, we’re proud to support thousands of cats every year, thanks to the incredible generosity of the public and the dedication of our volunteers. Our administration volunteers play a vital behind-the-scenes role, helping ensure our fundraising efforts run smoothly and our supporters feel valued.

If you have a passion for organisation, communication and making a difference, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. We’ll support you to contribute in ways that suit your strengths, whether that’s through hands-on tasks, creative input or thoughtful outreach. You’ll be part of a small team of volunteers who help support our fundraising events. Whatever your skill set, your contribution will help us reach more cats and kittens in need, and we’d love to have you on board!

This role is in person at our National Cat Centre, in East Sussex.

You can expect us to

• Make you feel welcome, included and respected in line with our values and behaviours
• Support you in having a positive and impactful experience at Cats Protection
• Cover agreed out-of-pocket expenses in line with our Expenses Policy
• Provide you with access to learning, development and engagement opportunities

What we need from you

You’ll be:

• compiling and posting registration packs
• handwriting thank-you cards and notes to our supporters to show our appreciation
• sourcing, filing, printing and restocking essential fundraising material
• sending information to supporters, employees and fellow volunteers
• phoning and messaging supporters to help with their fundraising and show our appreciation
• using your administrative and organisational skills
• volunteering independently and as part of a team

Time expectation

Our administration volunteers usually spend around three hours, once per week, in this role at our National Cat Centre in East Sussex.
