In memory of Archie

We adopted Archie 17 years ago from Cats Protection West Lothian, when he was a kitten found on his own and fostered with another litter by a volunteer in Livingston who named him Tom. His litter mate Nina also came home with us and we called her Lexi. Sadly she was killed in an RTC when she was only two years old. Archie was a big tabby cat, who liked to be petted, but didn't like being picked up and would only sit on our laps at certain specific times. He was a very gentle cat though, despite his tough-guy exterior and his occasional run-ins with wandering un-neutered toms. He loved being outside, but in his last days he became a house cat. We knew that he was getting frailer, and he developed a serious illness which drew his long life to a close. We loved him very much and keep expecting him to walk into the living room, shouting his presence out with a long loud miaow. He will be missed.
