In memory of Sasha
My sweet, sweet Sasha. You came into our lives as babies with you & your loopy brother Sago in 2013. I didn’t choose your names, they were given to you but they suited you both so very much. Even as a baby, you were so very, very beautiful. It was a no brainer that I would take the both of you – even though you seemingly hated your brother. You always looked like a girl cat – if such a thing exists. Your face was always rounder. Your sweet, sweet face. Your white bits always sparkled, white toes & paws – your bib as well. Sasha, your whiskers were something to behold – beautiful & long. You never liked being held, even as a baby, you wriggled to get away, right from the very first time I met you both, & you let us know you didn’t like it with your moaning yet you loved love but on your own terms. Nope, I couldn’t pick you up for cuddles BUT every day you came for cuddles & strokies. If we picked you up, un-warranted, what a grumbly madam you were. If any of the other cats just looked at you, you let them know, they couldn’t even be close to you. The only exception to that was little Bailey, for some reason, you let him close to you & that was very sweet. You would sit on us or sit next to us & purr. You were such a very chatty cat with your little chirrps & purrs. I've had cats all of my life but never have I had one taken from us so suddenly. My consolation is that you were found my a passerby, in distress, & taken to a local vet. Sadly you'd had a blood clot that was unrecoverable & I mad the heartbreaking decision to end your pain. Run free my gorgeous girl & go find those mousies in the sky. xx
