About Spinach

Super Spinach became a stray when his previous owner left him behind. Neighbours started to feed him but sadly their cat did not want Spinach to be there. Spinach is a very confident fella who loves attention. So much so he will reach up and perch himself upon his carer's shoulders for a cuddle. Spinach is missing a good portion of his tail and we are not sure why or how this happened, but it does not affect Spinach. He has mild pododermatitis (inflammation of the feet) which doesn't causes him any problems and no treatment is required. Spinach has a lot of energy so he will need access to a garden. Spinach is happy to be around children as long as they are sensible.

Sookie - 01 Apr 2021

Sweet Sookie is a beautiful young lady who is as proud as punch to be mum to her five gorgeous kittens; Sylvia, Sasha, Sebastian, Sheila and Simba. Sookie was admitted into our care as a stray. Her finder suspects that she became homeless after her elderly owner passed away. She was heavily pregnant at the time and gave birth in our care to five kittens. Sookie is a lovely mum, and very proud of her kittens. She acts like a protective tigress when you first approach her but soon rolls over to show them all off to you. She is a big softie at heart! She loves her food and is not fussy what she eats and enjoys having a fuss and attention.

Cat Name

Susan - 15 Apr 2021

Super Susan is a beautiful young lady who found as a stray has had to go through a long road of recovery. It is not know how long Susan had been suffering with very sore skin but when Susan arrived at the centre we have been able to give her all the medication and care she needed to heal and return to her wonderful self. As you can see from the before and after photos she has made huge improvement, when Susan does find her forever home we will be on hand to make sure her skin condition does not return. Susan loves sleeping on her big fluffy bed and can be very playful with her favourite toy mice! Susan's care team find her a chilled out friendly cat who loves nothing more than a good meal and watching the world go by!

Cat Name

Princess - 03 Mar 2021

Pretty Princess is a sweet young cat who is currently waiting to give birth to her second litter of kittens! Princess sadly came into care after her owners could no longer care for her. She is a lovely kitty who is coming out of her shell and growing in confidence each day. Princess loves her scratching post and hidey bed and a particular favourite is playing with ping pong balls, and eating cat treats! Princess is a real sweetheart to have around. Once she has given birth, and the kittens are weaned, Princess will be neutered. She will then be able to find her forever home! When we have news of the arrival of her kittens we shall keep you updated and post more pictures.

Cat Name

Ozzie - 22 Mar 2021

Awesome Ozzie is a mature gentleman who loves cuddles more than anything else in the world. Sadly for Ozzie his previous owner became to ill to care for him so made the hard decision to have him adopted. Ozzie has a skin condition which affect the fur and makes it thin on his sides and his belly, we are now treating his dermatitis and Ozzie is responding well. Because Ozzie is very affectionate, friendly and loves human company he dose not like being left alone for too long his care team notice that he will become very vocal when he demands attention. Ozzie also loves food and enjoys using his puzzle feeder to find treats. Ozzie is everyone’s best friend at the centre and know he will bring so much love and joy to his forever home once he is ready to find one.

Cat Name

Fuzz - 15 Apr 2021

Fantastic Fuzz was a long term stray from the Falkirk area. When she arrived at the Centre in the late afternoon of the 22 March, it became obvious she was VERY pregnant and we expected her to give birth any day. Less than 48 hours later she gave birth to three black and white kittens, Orca, Osprey and Panda. Sadly Orca passed away within the first 24 hours, we are unsure why. The vet checked over Mum and the remaining two kittens and she found they were healthy and doing well. Since their birth Fuzz is a fantastic mum and Osprey (female) and Panda (Male) are thriving and beginning to open their eyes. Fuzz is a very sweet natured cat but it will take time for her to fully trust the humans around her. Fuzz is beginning to bond with her care team and every day becomes more confident in her surrounding but what Fuzz enjoys the most is snoozing with her two beautiful kittens.

Simon's Cat supports Cats Protection Sponsorship

In celebration of our special relationship, Cats Protection has teamed up with Simon’s Cat! They love our cat sponsorship scheme so much that they have decided to support all of our Cat Sponsorship pens by giving them a Simon's Cat style makeover. Cats Protection is delighted to work with Simon’s Cat and we thank them for their support.

Who is Simon's Cat?

Simon’s Cat is a loveable, charming, yet mischievous cat that lives with his long suffering owner – Simon. Simon’s Cat made his first appearance online, in a film called Cat Man Do in 2008, made by animator and illustrator, Simon Tofield. Since then this well-known feline has appeared in over 100 short films, books, games and comic strips to name a few.

Q:Will I help just one cat? A:No, you 'll help lots! As a Cats Protection Sponsor you'll sponsor a pen at one of our adoption centres. So whenever we rehome a cat that's being cared for in your pen, we will update you and tell you about their new forever home.

Then a new cat in need will take their place and we will introduce you to that cat as well. Over time you will be able to help cat after cat, and you will also be able to look back at all the cats you have sponsored in your personal sponsor area.
