The Great Bristol Run is back on 10 May 2026!

The Bristol Half Marathon takes you on a scenic tour through some of the most iconic spots in the city. With this Half Marathon, you'll enjoy the breath-taking Avon Gorge, passing beneath the world-famous Clifton Suspension Bridge, before joining the 10km route at Spike Island for a grand finish. This is more than just a race, it’s a chance to explore the city, challenge yourself, and be part of a truly special event!

How much do I need to raise?

There is a registration fee of £35 for the 10k run and £46 for the half marathon. We ask you to aim for a target of £100  sponsorship commitment for the 10k and £150 for half marathon to help make better lives for cats. The money you raise will help us to be there for all cats, you make our work possible.

How to sign up

To register for Bristol Half Marathon and 10k, just follow the simple steps below.

  • Click here to choose the half marathon and 10k option. 
  • Enter your details.
  • Pay the full cost for your place, raise what you can and try to exceed the sponsorship commitment for your distance.
  • Email swfundraisinghub@cats.org.uk so we can support you and to receive your free branded running vest
How we're helping cats in Bristol

Cats Protection Bristol is run by a small team of dedicated, cat-loving volunteers. Passionate about improving the lives of cats and kittens in Bristol, they’re working to find loving new homes for local cats in our care and, offering support with neutering and lost and found cats, as well as general cat welfare education and awareness within the Bristol area. Your support will help them to continue this work.
