What we do

 Adoption

Adoption - Fluffy cat sleeping on cushion
We help cats find new and loving homes for a great variety of reasons. Some have been abandoned, others have strayed. Many of our older cats have had to be given up by elderly owners moving to new accommodation where pets are not allowed. Some, especially kittens, come from homes where owners simply cannot cope with more pets.

When you contact us to enquire about adopting a cat, you will first speak with our Homing Officer who will take some details from you. We will then contact you to arrange a convenient date/time for a homing visit. Cats we have in our care are continually changing so please click here

Fundraising

Sponsor a cat - kitten on a lap

Your financial support is vital to enable us to maintain our feline welfare work. We hold two fayres at Spring & Christmas along with other exciting events throughout the year. Take a look at our Events and Support Us pages.

Lost & Found

If you have lost a cat, please report this to us and we will post the details on the ‘Lost and Found’ page of our website. The branch also has its very own ‘Miss Marple’ who will investigate for you. If you find a cat, then report it to our branch and together we will try and locate its original owner. Please click here to see all the current lost and found cats.

Neutering

Cats Protection has developed the Kitten Neutering Vet Database to help you find your nearest vets practice to neuter your kitten. The misery suffered by many cats when they are left un-neutered is a huge problem and one that we are determined to alleviate. In the last ten years we have issued thousands of neutering vouchers and the branch will continue with the ongoing neutering campaign.
