Madagascar was everything I had imagined it to be. Remote, unspoilt, beautiful and a surprise around every corner!
The trekking was tough, but the constantly changing views, and keeping an eye out for lemurs that could appear at any moment, made it all worthwhile!

Sarah Burgess - Madagascar Trekker

How far is the Madagascar Trek?

This trip is rated as moderate to challenging for someone of good fitness levels. You will be trekking for five consecutive days, over varying and sometimes challenging terrain. You will cover approximately 15-20km per day and this will take around 6 – 8 hours.

How much experience do I need?

This is an ideal challenge for those who have completed a UK or international trek and are looking for their next challenge. There are a few long days of travelling that are made up for with plenty of trekking and exploring.

Why should I trek Madagascar for Cats Protection?

As a charity, we rely solely on your generosity and kindness to enable us to go on caring for cats and kittens. Our international challenges are the perfect way to challenge yourself and raise money to help cats in need while making unforgettable memories. Just imagine that sense of achievement when you reach both summits, knowing you’ve raised an incredible £4,700 towards giving many cats and kittens a second chance at life.

What are the costs?

There is a £399 registration fee to pay at the time of booking to secure your place. (This is payable in three instalments upon request by emailing accounts@different-travel.com) – 50% payable immediately.
