Honiton Spring Appeal

Moggies have long been getting a bad reputation. Online searches and even the dictionary define these non-pedigree cats as ‘unremarkable’. But we know this simply isn’t true.

Whether they’re a knowledgeable kitty, timid tabby, friendly feline, serial sleeper or a playful puss; each is full of purrsonality and has lots of love to give. They're more than ‘just a moggy’.

Cats becoming stray is the most common reason our care is needed and worryingly, the number of vulnerable moggies needing our help is rising.

Without the generosity and kindness of the Honiton community, stray moggies would be lacking the support and safety that they often so desperately need.

Could you help stray moggies in Honiton?

A gift from you can help stray moggies find a furever home as mognificent as they are. Each donation made goes directly towards helping cats in Honiton reach their happily ever after.

Give to help cats like Ellie

Tiny and terrified, kittens Ellie and Crisp were spotted hanging around a lane in Yarcombe, running scared when people approached. Eventually after weeks of trying to track them down they were found and rescued.
At only eight or nine weeks old they were extremely underweight, riddled with fleas and worms, and not used to being handled by people. Ellie also had a nasty limp.

X-rays showed Ellie had a broken bone in her hip which had healed badly and needed operating on. She was too tiny to safely have the operation, so spent time with her fosterer eating plenty, building up her strength and slowly learning to trust people. Four months later she had a successful operation.

Ellie’s recovery went well, and now this extraordinary moggy has well and truly settled into her new home, leaping around the house, chasing her toys and bounding up and down the stairs as if nothing had ever happened!
Brother Crisp never enjoyed being in a home environment, so he went to live at a stables. He’s settled really well into his life there and is also slowly learning to trust humans and even enjoys some fuss from his owner.
