The Wizz Air Cardiff Half Marathon has grown into the UK's second largest half marathon and now is a member of the SuperHalfs, a global series of the world’s most prestigious races.

On this flat, fast 13.1 mile course you'll pass the city’s best scenery and most iconic landmarks including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, Civic Centre and stunning Cardiff Bay!

How much do I have to raise?

For this half marathon there is a £10 registration fee and we ask for a minimum sponsorship commitment of £250.

This amount could pay for an operation on a shattered leg or a procedure to remove a cancerous lump, helping to reduce suffering for a cat in distress and pain.

Join our team of Cat Champions to get a Cats Protection running vest, then simply set up a fundraising page and raise whatever you can to help the cats and kittens.

It was an amazing day, the crowd were behind all participants and having my name on the vest helped as there were typical calls of 'come on Linda, do it for the cats!'

How we're helping cats near you

From our Bridgend Adoption Centre to our Cardiff Homing & Information Centre, as well as volunteer-run branches across the region, our teams work tirelessly to help abandoned, unwanted and neglected cats in South Wales.

You're able to nominate any local Cats Protection branch or centre to receive 100% of the money you raise from your challenge, helping the cats and kittens in your chosen area.
