Welcome to Horncastle and District Cats Protection.

Whilst the lockdown in the UK has eased, Covid 19 has not gone away.

We now offer hands free homing!

- Internet banking - you'll need to be able to pay the adoption fee via BACS, either your own account or someone paying on your behalf

- Email plus Printer/Scanner - in order to complete the adoption paperwork you will need to be able to print, sign and scan(or take a digital photo) documents back to us via email. We can offer postal options but it will take longer.

- Virtual Home visits - as we can't come and visit your home in order for us to conduct a home visit we may ask you to take us on a virtual tour of your house and garden, either during a video call or via photos

- No visitors - In order to minimise risk to the public and our volunteers, you will not be able to visit the cat before adoption. Fosterers can send you lots of photos and videos, but visiting the cat whilst it's still in our care is not possible at the current time.

We appreciate not everyone will agree with the new homing process, but for now and the foreseeable future, this is the only way we can continue to rehome cats in care in order to not only keep everyone as safe as possible, but also enable us to care for as many cats as possible in need of assistance

We still need your on going support.

Farms and Stables

As a rural community, we are always looking for people who can give feral cats a good, safe home. We get many feral cats coming into care which, while not really suitable for homing in a family environment, are ideal for keeping down those pesky mice and rats. If you have a farm, smallholding, or stables perhaps you could help us give these cats the chance they deserve. All cats in our care are neutered and vaccinated before being rehomed, so you can feel safe in the knowledge that you won't be over-run!
