Fundraisers desperately needed

Role Title: Fundraising Volunteer

Role Purpose: Cats Protection (CP) relies on volunteers to raise funds and awareness for the charity by assisting with fundraising activities in their local area. This role aims to help promote the charity’s cat welfare messages whilst also generating income to support our work.

Role Summary:    The role of volunteer Fundraiser can include a number of activities ranging from assisting at events, to planning and organising new activities. Fundraisers undertake a wide variety of duties either behind the scenes or leading activities depending on their skills and interests.


Knowledge Required: This role requires enthusiasm, commitment and ability to work well with other members of the fundraising team. Good communication skills and knowledge of the local area and community will also be useful.

Support and

Training Provided:    Training and support is available from the Fundraising Team Leader as well as the Community Fundraising Team who provide a wide selection of guides, ideas and templates. There will also be the chance to share ideas and plans through an email networking group with other fundraisers and through CatNav (CP’s extranet website).  

Time commitment:    This is a flexible role and the amount of time it takes will vary depending on the type of fundraising activities at any given time. It may vary from very little to several hours leading up to an event.
