Grand East Anglia Run (GEAR) 10K Sunday 3 May

The wonderfully scenic route takes in King Lynn's pretty town centre, River Ouse pathway and The Walks. Runners also pass famous landmarks such as the Custom House, Red Mount and Greyfriars Tower along the way.

Colchester Stampede 10k  Sunday 17 May

Join us at the incredible Colchester Zoo for the unique opportunity to run a chip timed 10k that starts in the heart of the Zoo, that’s right you will be starting between the Rhinos, Elephants, Giraffes and Zebras!

Ipswich Half Marathon

Runners will be heading down Duke Street, through Ipswich Waterfront and then along Cliff Lane. Continuing around the River Orwell, you will head to Wherstead Road, back along Grafton Way before reaching the big finish at Portman Road stadium - home to Ipswich Town FC.

How much do I have to raise?

For the 10K runs, there is a registration fee of £20 and we ask for a minimum sponsorship commitment of £95.

For the half marathon, there is a registration fee of £25 and we ask for a minimum sponsorship commitment of £130.

How we'll support you with your challenge

We'll be with you every step of the way, from sign-up to the finish line! When you join Team Cats, you’ll get a first-class experience including:

  • dedicated support from our fundraising team, who will answer any questions and offer personalised fundraising advice.
  • a jam-packed fundraising handbook containing downloadable resources, tips, advice and inspiring stories from previous Cat Champions! 
  • free branded technical running vest or t-shirt to wear with pride during training and on race day 
How we're helping cats in your community

We help an estimated 157,000 cats and kittens a year through our national network which includes around 185 volunteer teams and 32 cat centres. We also provide an array of cat care information and support, promote the benefits of neutering, and seek to educate people of all ages about cats and their care. 

You're able to nominate any local Cats Protection to receive 100% of the money you raise from your challenge, helping the cats in your chosen area.
