Sign up here

Register today to join us as we climb Pen Y Fan at sunset for cats! Meet like-minded people and chat all things cats before watching the sunset over the Brecon Beacons, all while helping to raise vital funds to support the cats in our care.

Your entry fee includes the support of our fully- trained mountain rescue walk leader and a warm drink upon your return.

How much do I need to raise?

There is a registration fee of £25 and we ask you to aim for a target of £100 sponsorship commitment to help make better lives for cats.

The money you raise will help us to be there for all cats, you make our work possible.

How much experience do I need?

We will be with you every step of the way, from sign-up to sunset! In the lead up to the climb, we will provide full support and ideas to help you reach and hopefully exceed your fundraising pledge.

During the climb, you’ll be led by our fully- trained, experienced walk leader who will guide our group safely up and down Pen Y Fan.  A moderate level of fitness is required, and we ask that you bring water as well as a flask of tea/coffee and are suitably equipped for the Welsh weather.

Please note that the weather conditions may affect the view on the day which is out of our control.

Can I bring my pet dog?

Although we love all our furry friends, unfortunately this event is for humans only.

Why should I climb Pen Y Fan for Cats Protection?

You’ll enjoy a great evening out with us and achieve a personal challenge at the same time! What’s more, £100 could cover the cost of a microchip scanner so that all new cats coming into our care can be checked for a microchip and help us reunite missing cats with their owners.

How we’re helping cats in Wales

Our cat centres located in North and South Wales and our volunteer teams across Wales are dedicated to improving the lives of cats and kittens. We work as one to find loving new homes for local cats in our care, offering support with neutering, lost and found cats, general education and awareness within Wales. Your support will help us continue this work.
