How to adopt a cat with us

Gustav

Harrogate & District

Gustav is currently in the fantastic care of one of our fosterers.

Gustav sadly is being rehomed due to not getting on with the female cat in his previous home. The previous owners also felt he was quite stressed around their baby despite getting on with their older children really well so he needs to be rehomed to a household with older (9 years plus) or or cat savvy respectful children or no children and be the only cat in the home. He also needs access outdoors.

During his stay he has been very affectionate and friendly to both fosterers and volunteer visitors. He is lovely company and very playful.

His previous owners reported to us many things about him written below:
He is affectionate and playful. Prefers to be outside but likes to come in and out of the house.

He likes to sleep with the older children at night on their bed. Will greet the family at the door when they return from school/work.

He will approach and rub his head on you when he wants attention. He isn’t a lap sitter but will accept being picked up and cuddled for short times.

He eats dry food at the moment but would most likely be happy to eat anything. He will beg my toddler for scraps of food when she's in her highchair.

Goes out daily for large parts of the day, will walk so far down the road with us on the school run and wait there for our return. He recognises the sound of our cars and comes to greet us.

He has a loud meow but only uses this outside.
