How to adopt a cat with us

Eliza

Halifax, Huddersfield & Wakefield

Eliza is a stunning 2 year old tabby and white girl. She has a very sweet nature and bonds closely to her favourite people (not to mention stoically loyal).

Eliza is looking for a fairly quiet home without other animals or young children please. She’s a very gentle cat and can be startled by loud noises. Eliza is happiest sitting next to you as you stroke her and as she gets to know and trust you - this will progress to curling up happily on your knee.

Eliza is looking for someone who is happy to let her settle and find her paws in a new home at her own pace. Rest assured though, once she decides you’re her friend - she’ll love you unconditionally and will repay your patience every day.

When she does trust you, she'll purr her paws off and loves to be brushed. She loves to greet you with a tiny miaow and put her paws up for a treat.

As she’s only a young girl, Eliza also loves to play - her absolute favourite play things are a drinking straw (that she throws around with great enthusiasm!) and the ping-pong ball in a paper bag trick. Her little face lights up happily! She’s also a big fan of puzzle games where she can show off her kitty intelligence.

When Eliza came to us she had some inflammation around her gums. It didn’t prevent her eating but the vet recommended that many of her teeth were removed to ensure she was comfortable.

Eliza continues to enjoy her food and isn’t on any ongoing medication or treatment. Her mouth can just be checked at routine vet appointments when she gets her annual vaccinations. No ongoing issues are expected though and she has recovered well.

Please note: due to the volume of applications we receive for some cats, if you haven’t heard from us within 7 days of your application unfortunately you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
