How to adopt a cat with us

Harlequin

North Yorkshire Cat Centre

Harlequin is a 6-year-old female cat who came into our care after her previous owners were no longer able to look after her. She is an independent but very friendly cat, though she can be a little shy when first meeting new people. Once she feels comfortable, her warm and affectionate nature begins to shine through. Harlequin has previously lived with a dog and has shown she can adapt well to a shared household with calm, careful introductions. She would be best suited to a quieter home without young children, although she could happily live with teenagers and older family members. Harlequin values her independence but also enjoys gentle companionship once trust has been built. Once settled, she will need safe access to the outdoors, so a home away from busy roads will be ideal. Harlequin is a lovely, characterful cat who just needs a patient home where she can build confidence at her own pace.
