Here at Cats Protection one of our aims is to support and encourage neutering of cats.
Neutering costs vary between vets so it is worth ringing round local vets to ask for prices. Typically to neuter a male cat the cost is between £60 and £120, and for a female £70 to £140.
We currently run a neutering scheme to help owners on low income or benefits. We can also offer neutering and chipping for £10 at participating vets. Visit us on https://www.cats.org.uk/what-we-do/neutering/financial-assistance or ring our Cats Protection national helpline on 03000 121212 option 2 between 9.30 am and 1 pm weekdays,
Please note we are unable to provide neutering assistance for other charities and also for cats adopted from other charities, please discuss their neutering policy with the charity from which you adopted your cat.
Cats Protection advocates neutering cats and kittens from 4 months old, there are a number of vets in the area who will support this. Please use our 'find a vet' site on the main Cats Protection website to find your nearest vet.
For further details on the operation carried out or information on neutering please check out our 'Neutering' page of our main site www.cats.org.uk .
