What we do

Cats Protection is the largest feline charity in the UK, dedicated to rescuing and rehoming unwanted and abandoned cats and promoting responsible cat ownership. The Bournemouth and District Branch covers a wide area, including Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and beyond. Our branch is run entirely by volunteers.

Each year we help hundreds of cats and kittens find their new homes; cats and kittens in our care get the very best of attention thanks to our dedicated fosterers. We pay for all adopted cats and kittens to be fully vaccinated and neutered.

Through our neutering campaigns and year-long assisted neutering programme we help even more cats by preventing unwanted pregnancies. We also trap and neuter over 100 feral cats each year and help with their relocation where possible.

We have a dedicated Lost and Found Team who can provide help and advice when a cat goes missing or is found.
