Is the cat really lost?

Ask round about, perhaps you have new neighbours, or someone has acquired a cat which you will be unfamiliar with. Check local notice boards, or Lost & Found in the paper. Put up a notice of your own. Tell people such as the milkman, postman, paper delivery people. Can you get the cat to a vet to check for a microchip?

If the cat appears to be sick or injured please take it to the nearest vet.

Call the animal charities listed below - it may have been reported as missing.

If you cannot look after the cat, please be aware that we usually have a waiting list and may not be able to take the cat in immediately. If you can feed the cat in the meantime and give him some shelter that would be a great help to us.
