The benefits of adopting a cat for your young children.

Having a pet cat in the house can be a fantastic influence on young children as it can teach them empathy, love and the basics of animal care.

In a recent survey carried out by Cats Protection, 96% of people agreed that there were benefits to children growing up with cats. Of these benefits, the top two were; it teaches them compassion for living things and it encourages a sense of responsibility.

While most cats will enjoy the extra attention that kids can offer, there are a few things to consider before welcoming a new feline friend into the family.
