Friend or foe?
Are your cats friends or foes? While you might think that your cats live peacefully side by side, it is often the case that many cats are not as sociable with one another as first thought - especially considering how subtle their body language can be!
A survey undertaken by Cats Protection revealed that almost half of owners with more than one cat are confusing signs of their cats not getting on for signs of friendship. From flattening their eats back, grooming a particular part of their bodies or taking turns to sit in specific areas of the home – these behaviours were thought to signal cats living in harmony.
Meanwhile, positive behaviours like walking around with an upright tail, touching noses and fighting with claws tucked can often be misunderstood as signs of negativity.
