Your winter craftalong is here. The winter Craft for Cats event has become a much-loved tradition and this year is no different.
Let us invite you to handmake a collection of Christmas cards to spread the festive joy to friends and family.
We've got two iris folding options for you to pounce on. Both kits allow you to make three uniquely personalised greetings cards.
The Traditional Christmas kit contains red, green and gold colours that capture the nostalgia of precious Christmas memories. The Winter Frost kit contains contemporary blue, purple and silver colours for a fresh and vibrant feel.
You will also need some common crafting items like sticky tape, scissors, double sided tape and a little Blu Tack (to fix pattern to the worktop so it doesn't move while you work).
The live craftalong is hosted by our friends at Pretty In Paper By B on Saturday 22 November and will take place from 10am to midday. If you are unable to attend the craftalong, it will be recorded and available to watch back on demand in your own time.
Sign up for yourself or even gift a place to a special cat lover in your life and a kit will be delivered directly to their door.
The cost to take part includes your craft kit, exclusive access to our Craft for Cats Facebook group, support from our Events team, and access to the live craftalong. You'll also be supporting our work to make a better life for cats.
Iris folding is a bit like painting by numbers but using folded paper strips instead of paint. Each kit contains easy-to-follow guides and step-by-step instructions to help you design deigns your cards.
Use the paper colours provided in the pattern guide or pick colours to match your own furry friend, past or present. You'll find a variety of different classic cat colours in each kit.
Back for their second time, we welcome iris folding experts Pretty In Paper By B. If you've participated in Craft for Cats before you may remember last year's iris folding kit designed by Bethan at Pretty In Paper By B.
Established during the first COVID-19 pandemic Pretty In Paper By B is a small family-run business dedicated to promoting creativity and mindful crafting through the paper-folding technique known as iris folding.
Just by signing up, you help make a better life for cats and kittens across the UK.
A minimum of £10 goes to help the cats at a local Cats Protection of your choice, or wherever the need is greatest.
