A challenge event you can take on at your own pace. The Lake District Ultra Challenge invites you to walk, jog or run a distance of your choice, along a sign-posted route. There will be free food and drink at regular rest stops, plus support including medics and marshals.

The challenge base camp is in Kendal and from there it's a full challenge loop taking in a few tough hills to Ambleside, a halfway point by Lake Windermere, forests and nature reserves, and some stunning views en route.

We help an estimated 157,000 cats and kittens a year through our national network which includes around 185 volunteer teams and 32 cat centres. We also provide an array of cat care information and support, promote the benefits of neutering, and seek to educate people of all ages about cats and their care.
You're able to nominate any local Cats Protection to receive 100% of the money you raise from your challenge, helping the cats in your chosen area.
