We have been overwhelmed by the incredible volume and quality of applications for next years marathon. While we work through them we have closed the application process temporarily. We would love to have you as part of our team so do check out our other running events here.
This famous 26.2 mile race is the biggest marathon in the world and the 40,000 places sell out every year.
The route has remained largely unchanged in 40 years and takes in many of the capital's landmarks including The Shard, Tower Bridge and of course The Mall.

For this prestigious marathon there is a registration fee of £50 which is payable after the ballot announcement and we ask for a minimum sponsorship commitment of £2,000.
Every £150 you raise could provide a full health check for a cat including blood tests, neutering, microchipping and vaccinations, or each £500 could pay for a caesarean operation and recovery of a cat in need.
Your full sponsorship amount is almost enough to feed all the cats in a small centre for a whole year!
We have a limited number of 'Golden Bond' places and therefore ask you to complete an application form. We'll carefully review your application before Cats Protection places are allocated.
Join our team of Cat Champions to get a Cats Protection running vest, then simply set up a fundraising page and raise whatever you can to help the cats and kittens.
I couldn’t even run between two lampposts when I first started but I suddenly thought to myself, why not? I decided to set myself that challenge and push myself to the limit to see what I was capable of. I really embraced the experience and enjoyed it. Teams at our 34 centres and around 210 branches work tirelessly to help abandoned, unwanted and neglected cats but they couldn't do it without your support.
You're able to nominate any local Cats Protection branch or centre to receive 100% of the money you raise from your challenge, helping the cats in your chosen area.
