About the live craftalong

The live craftalong with our friends and resin experts Katrilee will take place on Saturday 18 April at 10am in the Craft for Cats Facebook group.

Can't make it? The craftalong will be recorded and available to watch back on demand in your own time, or alternatively, you can use the instructions in the kit to craft at your own pace.

Sign up yourself or gift a space to a special cat lover in your life and a kit will be delivered straight to their door.

The cost to take part includes your kit, access to the Craft for Cats Facebook group, support from our Events team, and access to the crafting professionals. You'll also be supporting our work to make a better life for cats.

What is resin?

UV resin is a clear liquid that turns solid when exposed to UV light. It hardens in just a few minutes. Once cured, it becomes strong and shiny, like clear plastic or glass. It’s often used to seal and protect small art pieces, like pressed flowers, while giving them a smooth, glossy finish.

You'll learn...

  • the basics of working with UV resin
  • how to properly prepare and seal pressed flowers
  • how to design a balanced botanical composition
  • how to embed delicate materials in resin
  • how to use UV light for effective curing
  • how to achieve a smooth, glass-like finish for your coaster
