On Saturday 13 December, Glasgow Cat Centre is being visited by someone very special... Santa Claus himself! He’s taking time out of his busy toy making schedule to have a little fun. Will you help Santa feel rested by playing some party games with him?
There will be 30-minute sessions throughout the day where you’ll be able to play party games with Santa and other children too. Tickets are priced at £5 per child and everyone will get a little present at the end.
To give Santa the proper welcome, we’ll have mince pies, alcohol-free mulled wine and hot chocolate on offer for a small donation. And after your session, you’ll be able to look around the different stalls on offer. We will have some local businesses selling their products: Cosy Cat Candles selling a range of winter scented candles and Kitty Kisses selling soaps and bath bombs to help you properly relax this Christmas.
There will also be a Christmas Wrapping station, so if you don’t feel like spending your evenings wrapping presents, bring them along and get Santa’s elves to do it instead!
Please note, adults must stay with their children at all times throughout the event. This will be mainly a cash event as our card machine can be temperamental.
Each session will be 30 minutes this will include a number of games and present giving at the end.
There are four sessions running on the day. Choose your session when buying your tickets. Session times are: 10.30am - 11am , 11.30am -12pm, 1pm -1.30pm, 2pm-2.30pm
Children will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the whole event. Don’t worry though, there will be chairs put out for the adults so you won’t be expected to join in with the games (although, of course, you can if you want to!)
There is very limited parking at the Glasgow Cat Centre. We ask as much as possible for you to travel through public transport.
Last year, over 900 cats and kittens throughout Glasgow were helped by the local Cats Protection team. All cats and kittens in their care receive a thorough medical examination by a vet, vaccinations, treatment for fleas and worms, microchipping, any treatment required prior to rehoming, and most importantly lots of love and attention!
