About Mo

Miraculous Mo came in to our care as a stray. Mo was initially transferred to us from our Brighton branch, she had been found with a horrific injury to her right armpit. Her injury needed to be cleaned up, then she underwent surgery to help repair the damage. Mo's surgery was really successful, and she was placed on bed rest with a buster collar to stop her from bothering the wound, and preventing it healing . Her stitches are due to be removed any day now, and then she will be available for rehoming. Mo is super friendly and loves a lap, she is a sweet and affectionate girl and can be very interactive and inquisitive.

Cat Name

Marble - 17 Dec 2020

Marvellous Marble came into our care as a stray. A kind member of the public was feeding and looking after her as best they could but sadly Marble had already had two litters of kittens by the age of two (all of whom have been rehomed) and to prevent any further pregnancies it was agreed that we would take her in and care for her. Marble has a few cuts and scratches on her face from her time as a stray, these are now healing and we will be able to neutered and micro chip Marble soon. Marble came into the Centre on 4th December and, although she is drinking and feeding well, is still extremely timid. Marble preferred to have her photograph taken from the safe area beneath her cat bed.

Cat Name

Vespea - 08 Jan 2021

V.I.P Vespea is a beautiful lady, who on her own terms like affection. Vespea sadly found herself in our care due to allergies with in her previous family. Vespea has a grade 2 heart murmur which currently doesn't require medication.Vespea can be a little unpredictable at times and doesn’t like too much fuss so a cat experienced home would be great as her real loving personality hasn't quite came out yet! We think Vespea would like to be the one and only kitty cat in the home even though she has lived with a dog, having her human companions to herself would benefit Vespea.

Cat Name

Clementine - 23 Oct 2020

Lovely Clementine came into our care as a stray and heavily pregnant, on the 15th October Clementine gave birth to four beautiful healthy kittens. We have named her kittens Mandarin a male who is tabby and white, Satsuma is a female who is tabby and white, Tangerine is a male who is black and white and Orange who is a female and a tabby. Clementine has taken to motherhood wonderfully, she is so proud of her kittens and loves showing them off when staff go into her pen. Despite being a stray Clementine is very affectionate and loves being groomed and having cuddles, the only thing she is slightly cautious of is men but once she learns to trust them she will ask for lots of cuddle as our male staff members have found out. Clementine enjoys her food and we are making sure she eating well and getting plenty of rest so she can care for her kittens.

Cat Name

Tom - 11 Dec 2020

Terrific Tom found his way in the centre when sadly his owners had to move into a property that did not allow pets. Tom can be a little wary at first and can give an initial hiss but once he knows who you are he will come for a fuss. You can do anything with Tom, pick him up and put him on your lap he doesn’t mind. Tom spends most of the day in his bed, he really enjoys a good fuss and a lovely groom. Once Tom is comfortable he is a gentle cat who tolerates most things and loves all the attention. Tom has a 'chunky build' and because he is overweight we have started him on obesity management which he is taking to very well. Sadly Tom arrived with a bit of conjunctivitis which his care team are treating for him. Tom is also in need of some dental treatment which he will have done now he is in our care. For now Tom will be found snoozing in his bed dreaming of his next meal!

Cat Name

Lenny - 11 Dec 2020

Lovely Lenny found himself in our care when his owners moved into a new home that was suitable for Lenny. This handsome chap use to live in a rural setting with lots of fields to roam in, so he will be looking for a home that has a similar setting as he loves being outdoors. Lenny loves attention and is known to have to occasional snooze on a free lap! Lenny is a confident and good natured boy who has lived with a dog and older children.

Simon's Cat supports Cats Protection Sponsorship

In celebration of our special relationship, Cats Protection has teamed up with Simon’s Cat! They love our cat sponsorship scheme so much that they have decided to support all of our Cat Sponsorship pens by giving them a Simon's Cat style makeover. Cats Protection is delighted to work with Simon’s Cat and we thank them for their support.

Who is Simon's Cat?

Simon’s Cat is a loveable, charming, yet mischievous cat that lives with his long suffering owner – Simon. Simon’s Cat made his first appearance online, in a film called Cat Man Do in 2008, made by animator and illustrator, Simon Tofield. Since then this well-known feline has appeared in over 100 short films, books, games and comic strips to name a few.

Q:Will I help just one cat? A:No, you 'll help lots! As a Cats Protection Sponsor you'll sponsor a pen at one of our adoption centres. So whenever we rehome a cat that's being cared for in your pen, we will update you and tell you about their new forever home.

Then a new cat in need will take their place and we will introduce you to that cat as well. Over time you will be able to help cat after cat, and you will also be able to look back at all the cats you have sponsored in your personal sponsor area.
