Host a charity event with permanent or temporary tattoos in South West England to fundraise for local cats.

This July, we’re calling on tattoo studios and temporary tattoo enthusiasts in South West England to raise funds for cats. By hosting a charity event with cat-themed tats, you’ll bring people together while raising vital funds for the cats and kittens in our care.

Temporary tattoo events

There are lots of ways you can get involved using temporary tattoos! You could:

  • run a temporary tattoo stall at a local fair
  • organise a get-together to share temporary tats with friends and family
  • plan something entirely your own

We’ll provide all the temporary cat-themed tattoos you’ll need, along with ideas and guidance to support your fundraising. However you choose to take part, you’ll be helping cats every step of the way.

Tattoo studio flash sales

We’re looking for tattoo studios in South West England to host flash tattoo days, donating a percentage of the sales to help the cats in our care. Our team will support you with guidance, promotional materials and advice to help make your event a success. The proceeds of one tattoo could help cover the cost to neuter a cat in our care.

Why it matters

At Cats Protection, we see the impact of ‘kitten season’ every year, with hundreds, even thousands, of unplanned kittens born. The number of pregnant cats and unwanted litters rises from March, peaking between June and September.

Without proper care, these kittens are vulnerable to starvation and illnesses like cat flu. This surge places huge pressure on our teams, as pregnant cats and kittens need intensive support. Older cats in our care are often overlooked by adopters during this time, meaning they wait longer to find homes.

Sparrow, a tiny 340g kitten, was found alone and injured at an abattoir. With no mother or littermates, she had been suffering with severe eye trauma. Our team rushed her to the vets, where she underwent urgent surgery to remove her damaged eye.

After her operation, Sparrow received round-the-clock care and hand-feeding. Thanks to swift action and specialist support, she now has a real chance at a happy, healthy life.

Cats Protection receives no government funding. Every recovery relies on public support. Your donation helps give vulnerable cats like Sparrow the care and future they deserve.
