Volunteering is and always will be at the heart of Cats Protection. It is joyful and inclusive. As a charity, working in partnership, together we transform the lives of cats, people and communities.
At Cats Protection we find thousands of perfect matches between people and cats every year. Our cat match volunteers provide the support, information and guidance needed to match the right person to the right cat.
Do you love cats, enjoy speaking to people, have some IT skills (email etc) and have some spare time? Then why not become a Cat Match volunteer with Cats Protection Perth Branch!
Our Perth branch was established in 2000, and since then has found homes for over 3500 cats and kittens. We are looking for someone to join our small rehoming team to help continue our vital work finding new homes for our cats and kittens in our care. Duties include telephoning potential adopters and completing home finder questionnaires, telephoning adopters to carry out follow up checks on recent adoptions and provide support and advice to adopters to ensure successful adoptions.
We are a small, friendly team and you will get loads of help and support as well as access to our national online training modules. All you need is some free time, some IT skills, a love of cats and lots of enthusiasm! Some knowledge of the Perthshire area is also useful to be able to match the cats to the most suitable locations.
Our cat match volunteers usually spend 2 to 3 hours a week in this role which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.
We are committed to building a diverse, compassionate and inclusive organisation where everyone can be themselves and do their best. We are courageous and compassionate in our purpose of helping people see the world through cats’ eyes. Together, we can make a difference. Together, we are all for cats. Join the UK’s leading cat welfare charity and help make a better life for cats, because life is better with cats.
