The difference you will make to cats and people

As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public. Our fundraising events organisers have the exciting and varied role of helping plan and deliver local fundraising events to raise the vital funds needed to help cats. Our fundraising events organisers use their passion for cats and people to plan cake sales, barn dances, quiz nights and everything in between.

🐾 Become a Fundraising Events Organiser with Cats Protection! 🐾

Plan the fun. Raise the funds. Change the lives of cats in need!

At Cats Protection, volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. As a Fundraising Events Organiser, you’ll help dream up, plan and deliver fantastic local fundraising events that raise vital funds for cats and kittens in need. From cake sales and quiz nights to barn dances and beyond, you’ll turn brilliant ideas into meaningful impact.

✨ What you’ll be doing:
• Using your knowledge of your local area to inspire fun and exciting fundraising events
• Working with staff and other volunteers to help bring those ideas to life!
• Chatting to staff and other volunteers to track funds raised, passing over money to be banked by the treasurer
• Representing Cats Protection with a professional, friendly approach

⏰ Time commitment:
Some of our volunteers spend as little as an hour a week doing research into their local community, but planning and attending events can take up a little more time. This is why we have a network of volunteers and staff to help your ideas come to life!

📍Location:

We encourage volunteers to spread their wings and get involved with as many events as they want, so we will add you to our Whatsapp community where you can stay as in the loop as you wish when it comes to other things happening across Greater Manchester and the rest of the Northwest. We appreciate that the world is much smaller now, and people often travel/move around, so there may well be another area you are familiar with and want to support! We will never expect you to cover other areas, but we will always support you to do so 😁

** We aim to respond to your application within 5 working days, but it is also worth noting that our emails can often land in the junk/spam folder so please do keep your eyes there too. If, after 5 days you have not heard from us or are unable to locate an email from us, please contact us using the address " volunteering@nwengland.cats.org.uk "

Time expectation

Our fundraising events organisers usually spend two to three hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer.

You may be just the volunteer we've been looking for!

We are committed to building a diverse, compassionate and inclusive organisation where everyone can be themselves and do their best. We are courageous and compassionate in our purpose of helping people see the world through cats’ eyes. Together, we can make a difference. Together, we are all for cats. Join the UK’s leading cat welfare charity and help make a better life for cats, because life is better with cats.
