The difference you will make to cats and people

As a Cat Action Team (CAT) Community Lead you will have the important role of co-ordinating a team of Community Lost and Found volunteers. Using your excellent people management skills, you will support and encourage your team to help cats by providing advice and guidance to anyone who has lost or found a cat. You will also be pivotal in influencing the understanding of good cat welfare in local communities.

A bit more information about this role and the team

Please note that due to the nature of the role (transporting resources to and from events, cash security, etc) having your own transport is preferred but not essential.  

Any applicants under 18 years old will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian due to the nature of the role (Dealing with the public, cash handling, fundraising regulations, etc).

What we need from you

• Collaborating with the Volunteer Team Leader (VTL) to plan volunteer activity that helps people to help cats
• Supporting volunteers in their roles to provide advice around lost and found cats
• Responding to email and telephone enquiries from members of the public regarding cats
• Developing relationships with community and social groups, attending regular community meetings and promoting Cats Protection and our welfare messages

Time expectation

The time expectation for this role will vary depending on the number of volunteers and projects. Our Community leads usually spend between 10 to 12 hours per week in this role which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.
