Social media volunteer

Brighton & Hove

The difference you will make to cats and people

Our social media volunteers use their passion and knowledge of social media to promote the activities of local volunteer teams though various channels. They directly help cats by raising awareness of Cats Protection. A higher profile can help us raise the funds we need for our work, ensure people know they can adopt a cat from us, help promote neutering and help as many people as possible learn more about feline welfare.

A bit more information about this role and the team

Do you enjoy creating engaging content and keeping up with the latest social media trends? We’re looking for a confident and creative Social Media Volunteer to help raise awareness of the work of Cats Protection Brighton & Hove.

You’ll use your skills across platforms such as Facebook and Instagram to create and schedule engaging posts, share stories about the cats and people we support, promote fundraising and adoption, and help raise awareness of important cat welfare messages.

As part of a friendly remote volunteer team, you’ll need to be comfortable working independently, communicating online and collaborating with others to gather information and turn it into great social media content. We’re looking for someone who is confident using a variety of social media platforms, has a good eye for engaging content and enjoys helping our work reach more people.

Your contribution will make a real difference by helping us raise our profile, promote the cats in our care and encourage support for Cats Protection Brighton & Hove.

Our social media volunteers can expect to spend between two to five hours per week in this role. This role is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

You may be just the volunteer we've been looking for!

We are committed to building a diverse, compassionate and inclusive organisation where everyone can be themselves and do their best. We are courageous and compassionate in our purpose of helping people see the world through cats’ eyes. Together, we can make a difference. Together, we are all for cats.
