Electrical & PAT Testing Volunteer

• Full guidance and relevant training will be provided before volunteers carry out electrical safety testing  

What we need from you

• Carrying out PAT testing and required safety checks on donated electrical items, following our procedures and training  
• Cleaning and preparing electrical goods so they are ready for sale  
• Checking that safety information, testing labels and prices are clearly displayed  
• Moving tested items from the warehouse or stockroom onto the shop floor  
• Spotting unusual, collectable or higher-value electrical items that could be suitable for online sale  
• Helping create attractive and tidy electrical displays  
• Speaking with customers and helping with general questions about electrical items  

Time expectation

Our Electrical & PAT Testing Volunteers usually spend around four hours per day in this role.
