These terms and conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. All participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Please retain a copy for your information. 

1. There is no obligation to make a donation to Cats Protection to be eligible to win in the National Cat Awards free prize draw.
2. The free prize draw is open to all recipients of a unique entry number, with the exception of employees, volunteers and the immediate families of the Promoter, its agents or anyone else professionally connected to prize draw.
3. Entrants must be aged 18 or over.
4. The free prize draw is only open to residents of the UK (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland), the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the Republic of Ireland.
5. Online entry only, internet access required.
6. Only one free prize draw entry per voter.
7. The winner of the draw will receive two tickets to attend the National Cat Awards ceremony in central London on the evening Wednesday 24 September 2025. The tickets to attend will include canapes and drinks for two people. Travel, accommodation and any other expenses incurred will be the responsibility of the free prize draw winner.
8. The Promoter reserves the right to change the date and/or venue of the awards ceremony in the event of circumstances beyond its control. There is no alternative in part or whole, or in cash or otherwise, if the free prize draw winner and their guest are unable to attend because of changes made by the Promoter in these circumstances.
9. There is no alternative in part or whole, or in cash or otherwise, if the awards ceremony must be cancelled in the event of circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control.
10. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
11. The free prize draw will be conducted on Tuesday 5 August 2025 by a random number generator that has been tested and approved by an independent, third-party test house.
12. Limitations of liability: The Promoter, its agents or anyone professionally connected to the promotion, cannot assume any responsibility or liability for:
    
    - any incorrect or inaccurate personal data entry, or for any faulty or failed electronic data transmissions
    - communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regards to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilised in any aspect of this promotion
    - inaccessibility or unavailability of the internet 
    
    Regretfully, the Promoter cannot be held liable for system failures with access to the promotional site.
13. The free prize draw winner will be notified by email within seven calendar days of the draw being conducted (on Tuesday 5 August). The winner will be published on cats.org.uk/nca
14. The free prize draw winner will be sent a publicity consent form to complete upon acceptance of their win. They will be requested to participate in related publicity with no further recompense.
15. The prize is non-transferrable, cannot be sold, and will only be awarded directly to the winner. No cash alternative is offered.
16. If the free prize draw winner:
    
    - does not respond by phone or email within seven calendar days from the Promoter’s first notification that they are the prize draw winner, or
    - does not consent to media coverage, or
    - rejects their win, or
    - is suspected to or found to have tampered with the entry process or the operation of the draw, or
    - displays behaviour inconsistent with the values of the Promoter, or
    - acts in a disruptive manner, with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, or
    - provides inaccurate information upon entering the free prize draw, or
    - is otherwise ineligible
    
    the Promoter reserves the right to void their free prize draw entry and the draw will be conducted by a random number generator again to select an alternative winner. The process will repeat until an eligible winner can accept their prize and confirm their attendance at the National Cats Awards ceremony on Wednesday 24 September 2025.

17. The Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the promotion and for no other purpose, unless you choose to opt-in to marketing communications when entering the free prize draw. 18. The free prize draw is run in accordance with the guidelines of the Direct Marketing Association and Code of Advertising Practice.

19. Cats Protection reserves the right to use the winner’s name for promotional purposes. These will only be in summary, for example Mrs Jones from Berkshire.

20. By submitting the online entry form and thus participating, entrants accept these rules.
