Home Visitors

Can you help unwanted cats find a purr-fect new home?

Cats Protection’s Wellingborough and Rushden branch needs to recruit a Home Visitor to help place unwanted and abandoned cats with loving new owners.

The branch, which is run entirely by volunteers, needs people who can spare a few hours a month to carry out home visits and match new owners with the right cat, answer questions about cat care and help cats settle in to their new homes.

Own transport is essential but we can offer plenty of training, assistance and support materials for new home visitors.

The branch does a huge amount of work to help local cats and kittens but we really need cat lovers who can volunteer as home visitors to help us find homes for even more cats. Sparing just a couple of hours a week can make a huge difference to needy cats and we’re sure whoever takes on the role will find it incredibly rewarding. It’s also a great way to make new friends – both human and feline!”

Cats Protection is the UK’s leading cat charity, and our branch is part of a nationwide network of around 20 volunteer-run branches and 37 centres that together help around 200,000 cats and kittens each year.

As well as finding new homes for unwanted and abandoned cats, the charity also offers cat care advice to the public and can help towards the cost of neutering.
