Would you like to experience Newmarket Town Brass Band in the stunning setting of St Mary’s Church, Ely?

With support from the incredible vocalist Marie Huggins, a reading from author Inbali Iserles, beautiful crafts for sale and 'A Cats Christmas Tale' poetry reading, and this will be a show you don’t want to miss! With two festive raffles, Christmas gifts and crafts it’s set to be a brilliant evening raising much needed funds for cats in need. Enjoy mince pies, mulled wine and home made bakes in the stunning setting of St Mary’s Church. This event will start off your December the right way and ignite your festive spirit.

Treat yourself this Christmas and add a festive goodie bag to your ticket! Packed with thoughtful seasonal goodies for adults, it will be waiting for you when you arrive at the concert. Just choose ticket with a goodie bag when purchasing tickets. Goodie bag items are suitable for adults not children.

When and where?

The concert takes place on Friday 4 December at St Mary’s Church in Ely. There is a free car park close by at Barton Road Car Park and a very small number of spaces in front of the church. We would please ask you to leave these spaces for people who are disabled or for drop offs only.

The event starts at 5.30pm where we will have refreshments, and a lovely array of crafts, gifts and cat related goods perfect for some easy Christmas shopping. Doors will close for entry at 6.45pm so please arrive in good time. The event runs until approximately 9pm with time after the concert to make any last-minute purchases and grab another hot drink for the road.

Is there an interval?

Yes, there will be a 40-minute interval during the show. During the interval you will be able to buy raffle tickets, browse the beautiful crafts and get refreshments in the form of mulled wine and mince pies.

How much are tickets?

Tickets cost £15 for adults.

For concessions (children under 16, seniors, disabled and students) tickets are £12.

Accessibility

Wheelchair access: The church is fully wheelchair accessible, with ramps and flexible seating arrangements to accommodate wheelchair users and those with additional needs.

Please let a steward know if you require accessible access and they will guide you through the main church rather than round to the side entrance.

Chair options: Within the church we have wooden chairs, some have arms and some don't. Please ask a steward if you need a particular type

How your money helps cats in the local area

All funds raised will be for Cats Protection Ely & District and West Norfolk Cat Centre so they can help more cats in the East region. The funds will help to care for cats and kittens, give them a thorough medical examination by a vet, treatment for fleas and worms, microchipping, neutering and any other treatment required prior to homing. Most importantly, we provide a warm, safe space with food, water and lots of love before these cats and kittens find their forever homes.
