We recently spent the day filming our latest campaign at our North West London Cat Centre, where we met some of the cats helping us inspire more people to consider adoption.

Each cat arrives with their own story. Some have lost the only home they’ve ever known, while others have had to adapt to sudden or unexpected change. What they all share is the same need: a safe, loving home where they can settle and thrive.

From playful young cats full of curiosity to older companions looking for comfort and stability, the cats featured in our campaign represent just some of those currently in our care. Every cat has their own unique personality, and our message is simple: there’s a cat for everyone.

While Polly, Leo, Castiel, Crowley, Toph, Zoey, Mira, Saja and Bluebell are helping shine a light on cat adoption this summer, there are many more cats and kittens waiting for homes at our centres and branches across the UK.

A black cat named Polly with bright golden eyes rests on a soft purple blanket beside a pink cushion, looking alertly toward the camera against a softly blurred indoor background.

Meet Polly, who found a safe place to give birth

At just one year old, Polly found her own safe place to give birth, quietly making herself at home in a stranger’s house.

Heavily pregnant, she gave birth to five healthy kittens. When she was discovered, the homeowner contacted Cats Protection so we could take her into our care.

Polly was nervous at first, but it didn’t take long for her confidence to show. She’s an inquisitive cat with a playful side, always looking for her next opportunity to explore.

Named after characters from Peaky Blinders, Polly’s kittens were around nine weeks old at the time of filming. They’re now thriving, full of energy and curiosity, and almost ready to head off to their new homes.

A white cat named Leo with ginger markings and golden eyes peers over a bright pink textured blanket, looking calmly toward the camera against a soft, light-coloured background.

Meet Leo, who lost the only home he’d ever known

Five-year-old Leo had only ever known one home. But when someone new moved in with an allergy, everything changed. Through no fault of his own, he lost the home he’d had for years.

When Leo came into our care, it became clear he had been living with ongoing dental pain and needed urgent treatment. He has since had 17 teeth removed.

Despite this, Leo remains a gentle and affectionate cat. He seeks out company, leans in for attention and still enjoys the occasional treat.

A sleek gray cat named Toph sits calmly indoors beside a soft pink blanket, gazing directly at the camera with wide yellow-green eyes against a softly blurred background.

Meet Toph, who’s still searching for somewhere to settle

At four and a half years old, Toph has already experienced a lot of change, moving between homes and leaving behind what was familiar each time.

When her owner faced another move (this time somewhere without outdoor access) they made the difficult decision not to put her through further upheaval.

In our care, it quickly became clear what suits Toph best. Curious and independent, she loves outdoor access, space and the freedom to explore her surroundings.

She’s now looking for a home where she can offer that stability, along with the environment she needs to feel comfortable.

Three black-and-white kittens named Zoey, Mira, and Saja pose together against a white background, looking curiously toward the camera. One kitten stands slightly apart on the left, while the other two sit close together in the centre and right, showing their distinct markings and large ears.

Meet Zoey, Mira and Saja, who had an unexpected start in life

At just 14 weeks old, sweet kittens Zoey, Mira and Saja are already full of energy, curiosity and confidence. Their mum was taken in as a stray by a member of the public and, as she hadn’t been neutered, she soon became pregnant. When the kittens were born, it became too much for the family to manage.

Wanting the best for them, they contacted Cats Protection so we could provide the care they needed.

Now thriving in our care, the kittens are playful, well socialised and always on the go. Named after characters from KPop Demon Hunters, Zoey, Mira and Saja are each developing their own personalities, but all share the same need: a safe, loving home where they can grow and settle.

A small cream-colored kitten named Bluebell with striking blue eyes and soft tabby markings looks directly at the camera while sitting on a plush purple blanket, with a softly blurred indoor background behind her.

Meet Bluebell, who kept returning to the same roadside spot

Bluebell was found by the roadside, returning to the same spot each day and calling out. With no microchip and no one coming forward, there were no answers about where she had come from. What was clear, though, was that she was used to people.

Now just seven months old, she is affectionate and seeks out comfort and reassurance. Kind members of the public took her in temporarily while trying to find her owner. When no one came forward, they contacted Cats Protection so we could step in and support her.

Excitingly, Bluebell’s next chapter has already begun. After stealing hearts on set during filming, she is now settling into her new home with Dan, the cameraman from our shoot, proving that sometimes, the right cat really does find you.
