From 11am to 5pm on 19 September 2026, you’ll have the chance to dive into three beautifully crafted sessions, each led by passionate volunteers and local makers. Whether you’re coming with friends, treating yourself, or trying something completely new, this is the perfect opportunity to slow down, get creative, and make something truly your own.

On arrival, you’ll be welcomed into a friendly, community atmosphere where refreshments will be available throughout the event, along with a selection of delicious homemade cakes for sale.

Choose from three inspiring workshops:

•    Pyrography – create striking designs using the art of wood burning x 1 workshop, starting at 11am (approx. 3 hours)
•    Book Folding – turn books into eye-catching decorative pieces x 3 workshops (1 x 11am, 1 x 1pm, 1 x 3pm)
•    Jewellery Making – craft your own unique accessories to wear or gift x 3 workshops (1 x 11am, 1 x 1pm, 1 x 3pm)

Book two workshops and receive a 20% discount!

Please sign up and we will be in touch with you directly to organise which time you prefer. You will be able to do two workshops during the day.
No experience is needed, just bring your curiosity and enjoy the process. You’ll be guided every step of the way and leave with a handmade piece (or two) you can be proud of.
Even better, every ticket helps support the incredible work of Cats Protection, helping to care for and rehome cats in need. So, while you’re creating something special, you’re also making a real difference.
Spaces are limited to keep sessions relaxed and personal, so early booking is highly recommended.
Come for the creativity, stay for the atmosphere, and leave with new skills, new memories, and a glow from supporting a great cause.

How we're helping cats in the local area

By attending this event, you are directly helping cats in the local area through the work of Cats Protection Launceston.
Your support helps provide emergency foster care for cats who have been abandoned or can no longer stay with their owners. It also contributes to essential veterinary treatment, ensuring injured or unwell cats receive the care they need before being placed into safe, loving homes.
Funds raised also support neutering programmes, which help reduce unwanted litters and improve long-term cat welfare in the community. In addition, it helps volunteers who care for cats in foster homes, preparing them for adoption by building their health, confidence, and wellbeing.
Every workshop booking, cake purchased, and donation made at this event makes a real difference. It helps give vulnerable cats a second chance at life and supports ongoing rescue and rehoming efforts locally.
