Support Cherwell Cats Protection

As a team we rescue, neuter, foster, rehabilitate and re-home many cats and kittens each month. The Branch's activities include cat rescue - fostering & re-homing - part cost/full cost neutering - lost and found register - free advice on all aspects of cat care.

There are a number of ways to support Cherwell Cats Protection and your donations ensure we can continue to care for cats are kittens bringing them to full health and re-homing them in loving forever homes 😻.

Below are a number of ways you can support us, please also check our Fundraising and Events pages.

It would really help the cats in our care if you could support us by purchasing an item from our wishlist which is regulary updated.

One of the very best parts of this job is you, our supporters.

We have been meeting you at the fetes and events we attend in our fund raising capacity in and around the Cherwell district and also at our Bazaars which we hold regularly.

Your kindness and generosity is really appreciated by everyone here at the branch and to everyone who has donated money, articles or time and to anyone who has adopted one of our very special cats or kittens,  a very big THANK YOU!

But of course the more cats we help the more support we need...

We would love to eventually have a fundraising team in Banbury as we carry out a lot of work in Banbury yet we have no one to fundraise. Is this something you could do/ organise? please contact us!

We do not just rely on cash donations:
Other items we regularly take are...

  • cat food
  • toys
  • bedding
  • raffle prizes
  • sellable items

For a completely FREE way of raising money for the cats in our care Please join EasyFundraising - It will cost you NOTHING, but the retailer your purchase from will donate funds to our good cause "Cherwell Cats Protection" - please see the link for more details.

We do accept donations of all types of cat food, even those bags that might have been opened.  We will gratefully take adult cat food, kitten food, senior food, and even that for specific diets.

Our drop off points are:

As we are a small branch we are always looking for new fosterers, these will be in home fosterers. Fostering is hands on cat welfare work. Cat fosterers look after felines on a short term basis normally in a spare room in their home, however if you do not have other pets the cats can be allowed to have the run of the house.

Becoming a cat fosterer can be very rewarding as it is a great chance to make a difference to the life of a needy feline while they are waiting to find a new home.

People from all walks of life who can spare some time are encouraged to contact the branch which provides an essential cat rehoming service in the local area.

To find out more about fostering please call our Branch Coordinator at 01869 908 308 or email us at

A gift in your will could help change the lives of thousands of cats and kittens for years to come.

Without the kindness of people who remember Cats Protection in their will we would not be the charity we are today; these special gifts fund more than half of everything we do.

By leaving a gift in your will, you will be helping us keep the special promise that underpins all of our vital work: that we will never put a healthy cat to sleep.

Every gift we receive from our supporters, no matter how large or small, makes a real and tangible difference to the lives of the cats and kittens we help and care for.

After providing for your loved ones, by leaving even just 1% of your estate to Cherwell Cats Protection, you could make a huge difference to cats and kittens for years to come.

If you would like more information about remembering us in your will, please call our Branch Coordinator at 01869 908 308 or email us at
