I'm a Celebrity... Let Me Volunteer!

They helped with some of the tasks that volunteers face every day such as feeding, grooming and socialising cats, plus ensuring pens are kept clean and well-maintained.

Animal-lover Lucy Pinder, who owns four cats, said, “I try to do my bit for charity, particularly animal charities, so I’m really happy to be supporting Cats Protection. I hope that more people will volunteer so they can help even more cats in the future. It’s a really rewarding experience!”

Taking time out before appearing as Princess Fiona in ‘Shrek – The Musical’ that evening, Carley Stenson added, “It’s upsetting to know that so many cats and kittens are abandoned every year; this makes the work of Cats Protection so important. But they can’t do it without volunteers – so if you can spare some time, please get involved!”

Singer and eighties glamour icon Sam Fox and How Clean is Your House star Kim Woodburn have previously visited Cats Protection’s National Cat Adoption Centre in Sussex, while ex rocker Rick Wakeman and Fat Families presenter Steve Miller each helped out their local Cats Protection branches, to promote volunteering.
